We have been contacted by several Swingtown fans that
like the idea of sending boxes of brownie mixes either along with the
key chains or instead of the key chains we want to hear from everyone
and know what you think either contact us through the contact us page or visit the forums
and post what you think there or any other ideas that you may have. We
have sent out only one bulk shipment of key chains so far and do intend
to send out more as funds become available

Swingtown has been in the news since before it even aired some people believe that it is not fit for basic televison some have even gone as far as to call it a sin to watch.
I personally love it!! And believe by far that it is the best summer show that aired I don't know what other's were watching this summer but all I saw on was "reality" televison shows part who know's I mean seriously I can understand making a part 10,11,12 for the land before time but reality tv? I don't know what has come over these networks but I think that I can speak for many views that say we have had enough of "reality television"!!
Really isn't television ment for you sit down and escape from reality for a little while? And that is exactly what Swingtown brings a escape where for one hour a week we can enjoy a television show that does not involve people back stabbing others just to win some cash aka "Big Brother". Although I will agree that Swigtown may not be for the younger viewers but really what primetime show is?
It was refreshing to finally have a show on television that didn't
feature murder, corruption, forensics, angels,or healthcare. I found
the show to be far more enjoyable than Desperate Housewives from ABC. I
enjoyed that this was a show for adults to watch, a show that inspired
communication between couples, laughter among friends, and a new range
of topics for the water-cooler crowd.
For too long the networks
have catered to the elderly's viewing pleasure, the religious right's
prudish value system, and the teenagers who should be out enjoying life
instead of sitting in front of the television! Gangster life has been
glamorized, celebrity worship has been shoved down our throats, and
'reality' television is no longer new and exciting!
In a time
where the economy is keeping adults at home, Swingtown offered up real
entertainment. Not all of us were able to experience the 70s in the way
portrayed on this show; however, it is fun to take a glimpse into that
historical part of American lifestyles and see just how far we have
come since then. For some, it is a reminder of a time long gone, but
for others, it offers understanding of topics hidden in the social
closet for far too long.
Swingtown will not corrupt American
family values, as the religious right claims. It is an easy target for
the prudes who think it is their responsibility to tell the rest of us
how to live. The world is more than 6,000 years old and it is time for
television to evolve and explore the taboos we all know exist. There
are far worse things available on the internet that are causing more
damage to a marriage or a child than Swingtown could ever possibly
expose their viewing audience to.
The show's storyline features 4 strong female characters at various
stages of self-discovery that any intelligent woman could relate to,
which is very nice to see instead of the typical blonde bimbo with
rocks for brains or rich shop-a-holics that most cannot relate to,
especially in our current declining economy.
